Career Guidance Event “KPI School of Engineering” as a Platform for Introducing Biomedical Engineering

On March 26, a career guidance event was held at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering as part of the “KPI School of Engineering” project, aimed at introducing school students to modern areas of engineering and biomedical education.

The program included two thematic activities. The first was a workshop titled “Movement Detectives: How Physical Therapists Identify Problems in the Body through Anatomical Trains,” during which participants were introduced to the concept of myofascial chains and their role in the formation of movement patterns. The practical component enabled participants to understand the principles of identifying functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system and approaches to their correction.

The second part of the program was a lecture titled “Training a Neural Network in 15 Minutes,” dedicated to the basic principles of machine learning and practical aspects of designing and training neural networks. Participants gained insight into the key stages of building artificial intelligence models and learned about their potential applications in biomedical engineering and related fields.

The event generated significant interest among participants, contributed to broadening their understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of modern science, and demonstrated the prospects of integrating engineering approaches with biomedical research.

We thank all participants for their engagement and interest and invite them to join future events of the faculty.
