Representatives of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute paid a working visit to the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine. The delegation was led by Vice-Rector for Research Serhii Stirenko, Dean of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering Oleksandr Halkin, and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Automation, Industrial Engineering and Ecology Olena Ivanenko.
During the meeting, negotiations were held with Vice-Rector for Research of the Shupyk NHU of Ukraine Nataliia Savychuk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and International Cooperation Oleh Shevchenko, Head of the Department of Medical and Laboratory Genetics Nataliia Horovenko, and Head of the Department of Pharmacy Oleksii Soloviov.
The parties outlined promising areas of cooperation, including:
– the implementation of innovative cellular technologies to improve the effectiveness of chemotherapy and develop new pharmacological substances;
– the development and clinical testing of biosensor systems for modern clinical laboratory diagnostics;
– the application of artificial intelligence technologies to create new diagnostic methods in neonatology.
Thus, the meeting laid the foundation for expanding inter-university collaboration in the fields of biomedical engineering, pharmacy, and medical genetics.
