Olena Bespalova
Associate Professor, Candidate of Biological Sciences.

Bespalova O.Ya. is a specialist in clinical immunology, medical biotechnology and bioengineering. Graduated from Kyiv National University T. Shevchenko Department of Microbiology and General Immunology, specialty “Immunology”.

For a long period she worked at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after M.M. Amosov of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in the department of clinical immunology and in the department of biomedical technologies and electromechanical problems of the cardiovascular system. Since 2017, he has been working at KPI named after Igor Sikorskyi as an associate professor of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Translational Medical Bioengineering. 

In 2008, she defended her candidate’s thesis on the topic “The influence of general controlled hyperthermia on the state of the immune system in patients with infective endocarditis” on the specialty 03.00.09 – immunology. In 2013, he was awarded the academic title of senior researcher in the specialty 03.00.09 – immunology. 

Areas of scientific activity and interests: research of immunopathological mechanisms in cardiosurgical patients with various cardiovascular pathologies, biocompatibility of biomaterials. 

Сo-authored more than 70 publications in domestic and foreign journals, 5 patents, 5 training manuals.
