On May 2, the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering hosted a career orientation event for school students as part of its Open Day. Participants had a unique opportunity to see how modern technologies are applied to preserve human health and save lives.
The event began with an introductory lecture, during which students learned about the educational opportunities offered by the faculty, prospects for studying, and key contemporary areas of biomedical engineering.
Particular interest was generated by the substantive part of the program:
- an introduction to the activities of the MicroFauna Lab, where participants learned about ecotoxicological research using aquatic model organisms;
- an overview of approaches to complex injury engineering and the development of orthoses;
- familiarization with the work of a physical therapist and modern rehabilitation methods;
- an overview of neural network development opportunities, which helped students understand that IT in biomedicine is an accessible and promising field.
At the end of the event, a campus tour of the university was organized, during which prospective applicants were able to experience the student environment, explore the infrastructure, and ask additional questions to students.
We sincerely thank all participants for their active involvement and genuine interest. We hope to see you among our students in the near future.
